I run a fine art printing business in Charleston, SC out of Imaging Arts Gallery, which is located at 175 King Street. Our gallery site can be seen by clicking here. We specialize in printing photographs on canvas and fine art papers and can work with anything from digital files to negatives to slides to pictures. A popular choice is to have family and pet photographs printed on canvas, but we also have lots of people send in travel or fine art photographs. We also offer restorations services for your old family images that have faded or are torn.
We now have a website up where you can place orders for canvas prints directly from the web. You can get there, www.myphotosontocanvas.com, by clicking here.

Since every random idea I feel like championing online isn't necessarily photographically applicable, I have created a new site for my random ramblings and such. It is www.ghostonmytongue.com. Why that domain name? Well, I have my reasons. And they requested to stay my reasons. At any point it may be content rich or completely void of anything useful, and I'm alright with that. Click above and let your critical minds run wild. |

Hollings Cancer Center I have been given the honor of hanging my work in the Hollings Cancer Center here in Charleston. This is not merely cool because I have work somewhere, but because of the fact that these images are in the actual cancer treatment areas. No longer will patients have to stare at blank walls. Put yourself in this position; you are being treated for cancer with a blank wall in front of you. It is only my hope that my images can, at bare minimum, provide these people with something to occupy their minds, something that they can take wherever they desire above and beyond a chair in a hospital. Life is not a chair in a hospital. Currently, there are 4 images up, all in my Polaroid section, those being: Ballerina, Mercury, Epoch and Council. It is anticipated that 5 more will be going up soon. An update will follow that. Perhaps my art can do some existential good for someone. I love that idea. |

CELLTOGRAPHY: Now is a time of hybrids... |

A recent sudden unfortunate "photographer's block" somehow led me to give the tiny, difficult, rather poor camera on my cell phone a try. The idea was to take this low quality camera, which has practically no technically positive points when it comes to what photographers would like to work with, and use it to immediately capture things that strike me. The images have basic adjustments made on the computer, just as all the other images do, but in the actual capturing of the image the most control I have is over whether or not the image is color or black and white. The camera doesn't even have zoom. When using this thing it is ALL about the image. Perhaps it works, perhaps it doesn't. The best part is that, in my gallery, you can decide for yourself. |
